Hello everyone! This is ZHUZHUKA, in collaboration with KOREAwise, and I’m thrilled to share my experience at an incredible hotel in Busan, South Korea. If you’re planning a trip to Gwangalli Beach, you absolutely, positively need to put Gwangalli Hotel 1 on your radar. Trust me on this one. I recently visited this remarkable hotel, and it completely captivated me!

The moment you step inside, it feels like a refreshing change of pace. Gwangalli Hotel 1 sits directly on Gwangalli Beach. The views are simply unparalleled. The entire ocean and the stunning Gwangandaegyo Bridge perfectly frame your window. Many refer to it as the “View Boss Hotel” on social media. It’s perfect for capturing those truly epic #InstaGoals shots!

So, What’s the Deal with Gwangalli Hotel 1?
Gwangalli Hotel 1 isn’t your average hotel. That’s precisely what makes it so special. Their website highlights “PREMIUM,” “ROMANTIC,” and “CAPSULE” rooms. This indicates a diverse range of options. They cater to various travelers’ needs and budgets.

The entire property exudes a chic elegance, with white marble finishes throughout that evoke the dreamy, clean aesthetic of Santorini. Their policy is particularly unique: upon entry, guests remove their shoes. They store them in a cabinet, then move around barefoot or in slippers. This distinctive approach differs from most hotels. It significantly contributes to Gwangalli Hotel 1’s incredibly clean and well-maintained environment. As someone who appreciates hygiene, I truly welcomed this detail.
The location is also a major highlight. You’re literally steps from the beach, so you can just wander out anytime. The Gwangalli Cafe Street and Millak Raw Fish Center are about a 5-minute walk away. They offer fantastic dining experiences. Basically, you’ll find everything you need right around Gwangalli! For those relying on public transport, access is easy. It’s approximately a 15-minute walk from either Geumnyeonsan or Gwangan stations.
My Premium Ocean Front Suite Experience: Room with a View at Gwangalli Hotel 1
Now, let’s talk about the room! I chose to indulge a bit and booked the Premium Ocean Front Suite. I can confidently say it was worth every penny.
Inside My Premium Suite

My suite felt quite spacious. It featured a comfortable double bed. But the true highlight? The panoramic ocean view. Each morning, I awoke to the most breathtaking sunrise over the ocean and Gwangandaegyo Bridge. In the evenings, the bridge illuminates beautifully. If the timing is right, you can even enjoy the drone show right from the comfort of your room. It felt like having my own private viewing box! Some corner suites even boast dual windows. These provide both city and ocean views, which sounds even more captivating.

The entire room shared the same exquisite white Bianca marble interior. This created a bright and luxurious ambiance.
Amenities That Impressed Me
Gwangalli Hotel 1 also provided exceptional amenities. The natural latex mattress and pillows ensured a wonderfully comfortable night’s sleep. Upon check-in, I received thoughtful provisions. These included pajamas, disposable towels, slippers, and a complete set of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dental kit). Additionally, there were welcome snacks, a charging cable, and even a small massage machine in some rooms. They designed every detail for guest comfort.

Valuing the Gwangalli Hotel 1 Experience
A quick note on value: while the price point for a Premium Suite here might be comparable to some luxury hotels in Haeundae, it’s true that Gwangalli Hotel 1’s facilities are more boutique-focused rather than sprawling resort-like. However, what you gain here is an absolutely unparalleled, front-row view of Gwangalli Beach and the Bridge. You simply cannot find this elsewhere. So, if that iconic view is your priority, this suite is a fantastic choice. Alternatively, it makes for a wonderful one or two-night stay. You can soak in the Gwangalli vibe before moving on to explore Haeundae’s offerings.

Beyond the Room: Gwangalli Hotel 1’s Unique Amenities!
Gwangalli Hotel 1’s appeal extends beyond its guest rooms. Its common areas offer equally distinctive and memorable experiences.
“Byeolchimdae” Cafe: Oceanfront Lounging Done Right

This was one of my favorite spaces! “Byeolchimdae” (Star Bed) is a truly unique cafe. It’s located on the 1st and 2nd floors of Gwangalli Hotel 1. They designed it with tiered, theater-style seating. Comfortable lounge chairs are perfect for relaxing while directly facing Gwangalli Beach and the bridge. For an additional fee, you can enjoy unlimited drink refills. This lets you relax and admire the ocean. A convenient feature is the presence of power outlets at each seat. This allows for easy charging and use of electronic devices.

“Byeolkai” Rooftop: Insta-Heaven!
If you’re seeking that perfect Instagram photo, you absolutely must visit the “Byeolkai” rooftop on the 10th floor. This exclusive space for Gwangalli Hotel 1 guests offers unparalleled night views of Gwangalli. It even features popular photo zones, such as a “Stairway to Heaven.” This makes it ideal for capturing those iconic shots. The rooftop’s white, Santorini-inspired decor and charming sculptures create an exotic atmosphere. This provides a delightful visual experience.

While Gwangalli Hotel 1 may not boast expansive facilities like large swimming pools or tennis courts, its focus on unique, view-centric amenities like “Byeolchimdae” and “Byeolkai” truly sets it apart. It offers a more memorable and distinct experience.

The lobby also provides unlimited refill beverages and even karaoke facilities! Additionally, the hotel offers luggage storage services before check-in or after check-out. This adds a layer of convenience for guests. Of course, Gwangalli Hotel 1 provides complimentary Wi-Fi throughout.
Breakfast at Gwangalli Hotel 1: What to Expect?
Gwangalli Hotel 1 serves breakfast between 8 AM and 9:30 AM. It operates as a casual snack bar. The typical offerings include toast, organic rolls, cereal, milk, juice, and quality coffee. On weekends, they sometimes add seasonal fruits and yogurt.

My experience with the breakfast was that it offers a very simple, convenient selection. It’s more of a “grab-and-go” style. This is perfect if you’re looking for a light bite before starting your day. If you have high expectations for breakfast or prefer a substantial Korean meal, I highly recommend exploring local eateries nearby. Conclusion: Who Should Stay at Gwangalli Hotel 1?
I overwhelmingly recommend Gwangalli Hotel 1 for travelers who prioritize breathtaking views above all else. It’s an ideal choice for those seeking personal solace. It’s also great for couples desiring a romantic escape, or anyone keen to capture stunning photos for social media. The exceptionally friendly staff, impeccable cleanliness, and unique facilities like “Byeolchimdae” and “Byeolkai” truly elevate a simple stay into a special and memorable experience.
If you’re driving, factor in the off-site parking.
But all in all, Gwangalli Hotel 1 offers something truly unique. It might not be perfect for every traveler. However, if you want to soak in the beauty of Gwangalli and have a memorable, picture-perfect stay, you should totally check it out!
